Principles of Photography Program Package

This Afterschool and Saturday Three and Six-month youth photography program teaches the core principles of photography through hands-on learning and creative exploration. Students learn how to use cameras, understand lighting, compose strong images, and tell stories through photos. As the program progresses, youth build confidence by practicing portrait, action, and creative photography, while learning basic editing skills to enhance their work and present a final photo project.

Portraits & People: How to photograph people with respect and creativity. Hands on Photography.
Editing & Enhancing Photos: How to improve photos while keeping them natural using Photoshop / Editing Software.
Creative Projects & Showcase: Showcase of photography portfolio for friends and family at premiere event at a local movie theater.

Youth Filmmaking & Photography Enrichment Program Staff

Our Program staff are industry professionals with extensive filmmaking, photography & administration experience.

(1) Program Director & (1) Coordinator: KELLY MORGAN & TONIA COOKE Oversees the entire program, set goals, develop curriculum, and ensure smooth operation. They provide leadership, coordinate staff efforts, and support youth participants in achieving their creative potential.
(1) Program Administrator: CYNTHIA MORGAN Handles daily administrative tasks, manages schedules, communications, and registrations. Ensures that all logistics run efficiently and that participants have a positive experience.
(1) Photography Instructor: JACIE CHEY Provides instruction on camera techniques, principles of photography, and portfolio development. Helps students capture and edit images, culminating in a personal photography portfolio.
(1) Filmmaking Instructor: KELLY MORGAN Teaches virtual production, storytelling, and filmmaking techniques. Guides students through project development, filming, and editing to help them create compelling short films.
